Global equity indexes are pointing in different directions currently after Wall Street closed higher on Friday following strong March jobs report. Apple shares added 0.45% underperforming market amid reports CEO Tim Cook sold 196,410 shares of the company's stock last week worth approximately $33.2 million, Meta shares gained 3.2% on Friday.

Forex news

The Dollar strengthening is intact currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, ended 0.1% higher on Friday.

EUR/USD joined GBP/USD's slowed retreating on Friday as Eurostat reported euro zone retail sales declined 0.5% over month in February. Both euro and Pound are lower against the Dollar currently. USD/JPY reversed its advancing while AUD/USD slowed its retreating on Friday with the yen lower against the Greenback currently and the Australian dollar higher.

Stock Market news

US stocks indexes futures are mixed currently after ending up on Friday. The three main US stock benchmarks recorded daily gains in the range from 0.8% to 1.2% on Friday after US Labor Department data showed employers hired far more workers in March than expected.

European stock index futures are mixed today after closing lower on Friday with retail shares leading losses. Asian stock indexes futures are mostly rising today with Australia’s ASX 200 index leading gains.

Commodity Market news

Brent is edging lower currently. Prices extended gains on Friday as energy services firm Baker Hughes reported US energy firms last week cut the number of oil and natural gas rigs operating for a third week in a row for the first time since October. The US oil benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 0.32% but is lower currently. Brent rose 0.57% to $91.17 a barrel on Friday.
