Global stocks are trading mixed currently after Wall Street closed mixed on Monday. Alphabet shares gained 0.85% despite news Japan's competition watchdog has started investigating Google for a possible breach of antimonopoly laws in web search services following similar steps by authorities in Europe and other major economies, Apple shares added 0.1% on Monday amid reports Foxconn, a major Apple supplier, faces fresh scrutiny from China.

Forex news

The Dollar weakening is intact currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, ended 0.4% lower on Monday.

Both EUR/USD and GBP/USD accelerated their climbing on Monday. Euro is lower against the dollar currently while Pound is higher. USD/JPY reversed its advancing while AUD/USD reversed its sliding yesterday with both the yen and Australian dollar higher against the Greenback currently.

Stock Market news

Futures on three main US stock indexes are up currently with the yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury up at 4.846%. US markets closed mixed on Monday with the three main stock benchmarks recording daily returns in the range from -0.6% to 0.3%.

European stock indexes futures are mixed currently after closing lower on Monday with mining shares leading losses. Asian indexes futures are mixed today with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index leading losses led by technology stocks despite announcement by Central Huijin Investment Co, a Chinese sovereign fund, that it purchased some exchange-traded funds (ETF) to support local stock markets.

Commodity Market news

Brent is edging lower currently. Prices ended over 2% lower on Monday as aid convoys started to arrive in the Gaza Strip from Egypt over the weekend while diplomatic efforts in the Middle East intensified in an attempt to contain the conflict between Israel and Hamas. US West Texas Intermediate WTI fell 2.9% and is lower currently. Brent lost 2.5% to $89.83 a barrel on Monday.

Gold Market News

Gold prices are steady currently . Spot gold ended 0.4% lower at $1972.40 an ounce on Monday.
